how it began as a passion,
and became our purpose
based in Vancouver, BC, Emeri started as a passion project — just the two of us searching for the best matcha we could find. on weekends, we’d line up samples across the kitchen table, run blind taste tests, compare notes, and share our favourites with friends, family, and a growing community.
along the way, we realized something obvious and yet, surprisingly overlooked: everyone’s taste buds are different. what’s a perfect cup of matcha for one person might not be for another, and that’s exactly what makes the journey so fascinating.
so we stopped chasing the idea of one “best matcha" and started focusing on curating a collection that celebrates those differences. our purpose is simple: to help you find the matcha that is right for you, and at the same time, to raise the bar for high-quality matcha across North America.
