Step into the world of traditional Japanese tea ceremonies with our Classic Ceremonial Matcha Starter Set, a comprehensive set that brings the art of tea-making to your fingertips. Central to this kit is our premium Classic Ceremonial Matcha, sourced from the first harvest of tea leaves in the lush hills of Shizuoka, Japan. Stone-ground to a fine, vibrant green powder, this Matcha delivers a smooth, floral flavor rich in antioxidants and natural caffeine, perfect for elevating your daily ritual.

To ensure you achieve the perfect cup, this set includes two essential tools: our handcrafted 120-prong purple bamboo whisk (Chasen) and a matching purple bamboo scoop (Chashaku). The Chasen, with its 120 prongs, offers superior flexibility and control, effortlessly creating a smooth, frothy finish that enhances the natural flavors of your Matcha or Hojicha. Crafted from sustainably sourced Chinese purple bamboo, both the whisk and scoop are not only durable and moisture-resistant but also add a touch of elegance to your tea-making experience.

The Chashaku’s precise design allows you to measure the perfect amount of powder, whether you're preparing ceremonial Matcha, Hojicha, or any tea blend. Together, these tools ensure an authentic and serene tea-making process, whether you’re preparing Usucha, Koicha, or a creamy latte.

The best I've ever tried

This is so far the best matcha and hojicha I have ever tried! The hojicha is really flavourful and rich. The matcha just taste amazing and not too bitter ! The foam is just perfect.

Delicious Umami Matcha

Honestly, the title says it all! I repurchased just to confirm my thoughts on the first tin, and it’s just as delicious the second go round. Tbh, I was not super partial to umami matchas, but this blend really grew on me? It smells and almost even tastes a little bit like edamame, but it’s just super smooth and palatable. It foams up really well too, and it just ends up being the perfect, chef’s kiss green color! I found myself reaching for my Emeri matcha more and more because I enjoyed it so much. Do recommend giving it a try, because I feel like everything I’ve mentioned in combo with the price point? So. Good.

Also, shouts out to the Emeri customer service team! Had a really minor issue on my first order and they went above and beyond helping me out— it for sure feels like a company that wants to do what they can to make sure their customers are happy, and they’re truly so gracious and kind. Makes me happy in turn to support such a lovely company!

My new daily enrichment!

I am absolutely loving my new daily matcha and hojicha ritual! Matcha in the morning and hojicha in the afternoon. I even picked up some kinako to make one of the latte recipes found on the Emeri blog (see photo). I have a milk frother and it works perfectly well with these teas, as I don't have the proper whisk, but it works really well, so don't worry if you don't have a whisk but you have a milk frother. These are both such high quality. I'm never going back!

Great chasen!

This whisk helps get micro foam when whisking matcha for usucha/lattes.

LOVE THIS MATCHA !!

A friend of mine has recently pointed out that I have been using culinary grade matcha for my morning matcha instead of ceremonial. I found this brand from the account @mildmatchas on instagram and I was so happy to see that Emeri is a Canadian brand. My mornings have become a lot more enjoyable due to having the right matcha ! Definitely recommend !!
