ive been on the hunt for an affordable but tasty matcha + hojicha and this is where my hunt ends!! this is great value for a super well rounded matcha, both cold whisked and traditional. the hojicha however is SUPER smoky cold whisked which was really interesting

The hojicha was smooth and mellow. The matcha was smooth, creamy and had a medium umami flavor.

My partner and I have developed a new found love for Emeri's products. 🍵

We had been indulging a little too often buying matcha lattes outside ever since this local matcha cafe opened up nearby! And I was on the search to find a solid Canadian matcha brand as I wasn't too confident that any of the matcha products on Amazon would meet our standards. The ones we've tried in the past have been dull, gritty, poor flavour, and just NOT IT - but we didn't know any better!

I bumped into Emeri's website and found their prices ($/gram) extremely reasonable for the product quantity (50g/1.7oz tins) and def worth a shot - considering we were spending nearly $35+ on 2 drinks and pastries every week (and that's if we go once). And some other brands online sell a single 30g tin for so much, some going for CAD $40 (I'm sure the quality is great and all but damn)! Emeri offers such amazing bundle deals & we took advantage of the free shipping for an $100+ order. It got me so excited to start making my own matcha from the comfort of my own home. My partner and I took the leap.. I think we've struck gold with Emeri.

Such high quality, finely ground, smooth teas. I DIY'd a matcha strawberry oat latte and it tastes JUST LIKE the ones we buy outside for a whopping $9 each. As for the hojicha, it was completely new to us. We've never had it before until we tried Emeri's Signature Hojicha Powder. I've heard about hojicha on social media and was really intrigued because we love matcha so much. I prepared it as I would a matcha oat latte and y'all... We came for the MATCHA but stayed for the HOJICHA! Don''t get me wrong, I love my coffee but my hojicha honey oat lattes have EASILY replaced my morning coffees before work. My partner and I both were sooo pleasantly surprised with how soothing and toasty it was, and how well it worked with the oat barista since we do prefer dairy-free. We love to have it warm but will do an iced version during here and there on hot, summer days. We've since purchased the Complete Hojicha Trio Set because we just LOVE the Signature Hojicha THAT MUCH. (Will probably leave another review for their hojicha line later on after we've taste tested all of them, hehe.)

Bonus: 📦 Everything is packaged with recyclable materials - no plastic except for the silica gel packets that come with each tin for shelf stability.

The only thing I would critique is the suggested servings per tin. 🤣 I'm either drinking 2 servings in one go or I just like my tea lattes VERY strong, hahaha. They indicate approx. 25 servings per tin but it's closer to 15 servings for me. Still SUPER worth it at the end of the day. Will be ordering Okawari forever - truly have never had a matcha that so perfectly suits my taste preferences: bold, nutty, comforting.

Tried Roku for the first time and absolutely loved it. Could totally taste that ice cream-like profile with its naturally sweet and balanced flavors.
